Need advice.......

While I am not exactly a new hobbyist, I need some suggestions on how to go about upgrading from my 75g tank (which has been up and running for about 4 years) to my new 125g tank.
I want to transfer everything from the 75g to the 125g. Where and how should I start? Do I fill the 125 with all new water, let it cycle and then add my sand, rock, and so on? Or do I transfer as much of the water as I can from the 75 and then top it off with new water?

Any and all input will be appreciated!
