Need Advice

[the 55 aquarist]

I have a 55gal with a protein skimmer, and wet/dry. I have a 2inch drwf lion, a clown, and a black w/ white striped eel. Is it possible to add anything else? I was thinking a trig or puffer.

Some kind of young puffer would be ok. S&S, porcupine, whatever you like should work, but that would ax it out.

IMO you're close to the limit as is. The fish might be small now, but things are going to grow. The dwarf lion will get to be 6 inches and the eel....
The problem is that lions, eels and puffers are all messy eaters. It's going to place a lot on your bio load and make it difficult to keep the ammonia levels down and the tank clean. I would suggest getting a plan together for a larger tank in the next year if you're going to add more fish.
