I have always had agressive tanks and have decided to dive into a reef tank. I am first going to try with a 20 gal that I have. Right now I have roughly 30lbs LR and I got a few polyps and mushrooms from a guy I get me rock from. I have a 110watt PC fixture and a few clown fish in the tank. What types of coral can I add to the tank and would 110 watts of light be sufficient for clams? Any help would be appreciated. I have included a picture of the tank right after I set it up.

IMO I would reduce a "few clowns" to a couple clowns max. Reefs need to have very good water quality w/ very low nitrates. Not easy to accomplish w/ a bunch of fish.
110W of aPC...you could keep pretty much anything with a few exceptions. Mainly a few SPS species and some clams(maxima/crocea specifically). You might be able to have a small squamosa or derasa in there but they will get very big in comparison to the other clams so will need a larger tank. Clams are touchy and need very stable conditions.

No more than 2 clowns in 1 tank.
You can keep zoos, polyps like GSP, shrooms, xenia, leathers, a few lps.
No sps.
No squamosas, no gigas, no derasas, no croceas, no maximas-just no clams.

Clams need a lot of lighting... If i were you i would just go with some soft corals... Nice to look at and wont die!
