Need Answer fast

silly me should have asked this last night, but i am doing a reprt for college on a contrast comparison paper.. and I deciced freshwater vs saltwater was a great topic. Of course I know much more about saltwater.. and it just blows freshwater right out of the picture!!
can anyone out there tell me the temp a freshwater aquairum can be set at>? what is the lowest it can go.
any info on this would help thank.!!
ooh and one last question.. don't most of the saltwater fish come from the INdian ocean?? new new guinea>??

hey
ill used to have a 20 gal freah now i jave a 10 gal fresh. most fish range between 68-76 from what ive heard. some dont even need heaters. i have 2 candy tetras in my fresh and i dont use a heater. i heard marine come from all over. but my mom hear mainly indain and ind-pacific. dont forget not many plants grow in salt water (green plants) maily in fresh. try and find a fresh water web site like this one!

I had freshwater tanks for over fourteen years. Water temperature is about the same as saltwater. Fish like bettas and such don't need a heater in their tank and they are freshwater. I raised many fish, specialized in angelfish. The temp I always kept my tanks at was anywhere from 76 to 80 degrees. I guess it can go from 74-82 in my experience without hurting anything. I hope this helps.
