My actinc lights went out this morning in my 14g Biocube and I went out to buy a new one and the new one is not turning on. What do I need to check?

unplug the ballast from the regular light and plug it into the antic if it comes on you'll know the ballast is bad. those ballasts go out frequently thats a problem i had

I'm not sure on specs or anything to make something work. Can you go to the place you got the tank and see if they have any extras? other than that i'm out of ideas

I called around and nobody wants to take a balast out of the tanks they sell. Does anyone know what the part number for this is?

You should be able to just give them the 4 digit code that is stamped on the ballast next to the Oceanic logo.
Try this for contact... I posted this information in another thread. Ask him if he could send it out ASAP and you should have it within 2 days.
Oceanic Warranties are now handled by Central Aquatics. Brian is the guy who got in contact with me when I e-mailed the company. I have a 29g Biocube and because of some freak mistake or something, they sent me three separate shipments of them!

I just looked at the shipping label and it came from Franklin, WI.
Okay, looking at the Ballast from mine, it says "Oceanic 36 watt Ballast"
then right below it, it looks like this:
Part No. 82003...........................PL-36W 120V 50Hz
Class P.....................................Max. Temp.: 120F
Model: IEB36-IU.........................Instant Start
...............................................Made in China
I gave Brian the information along the left side.
Hope this helps!~
