Need fast answer on using Polyurathane

I have my stain and I am getting ready to stain my new hood. I bought some minwax spar urathane which is an indoor/outdoor oil based urathane sealer that has a lot of protection from moisture. Is this ok to use being it is oiled based or will it cause problems with my tank?

as long as it is fully dried and the fumes are gone it is fine.

that is fairly good material, should be good to go in 2 days.

Thanks Dave. If I can just deal with trying to get this stain to come out right. I kind of sanded across the grain next to the trim and it is not looking to good.
