Hi! i have a 55 gallon tank everything set up, cycled, have engineer goby, shrimp, percula and just added anemone. (I can't rememebr what kind it is!!!) I just bought this about 3 hours ago. I'm really worried about it because I don't know if it's dying or it it's just having "upset stomach" or something. It has a orange base and greenish purplish tentacles. It's swelled at the bottom, kinda bottleneck then the tentacles and such are opened. IT has been swelling and shrinking alot since I bought him 3 hours ago. And what I'm freaking out about is whether it's his organs coming out of him or just poo or what!~?!? It's kinda encircled in a thin layer of well um...something really thin and mucus like and a piece of it broke off. Is he dying, nothing stinks and he hasn't moved from where I put him. I don't know if this is normal or not. Please help! If it is poo or vomit, it sure picked a good time to do it (freaking out new anemone owner) Sorry can't post a pic!!!

If it looks like it is melting then it is dying , allthough it is normal behaviour for anemones to shrink. How new is your tank?
