HELLO EVERYONE IM NEW TO THE THREAD BUT A VETERAN TOO MANY OTHERS. JUST NEED SOME HELP WITH SOME ANNOYING ZOOS THAT NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM. I STARTED WITH A SMALL ROCK OF THE "BRANCHING ZOOS". NOW THEY ARE AN OVERWHELMING NUSANCE. THEY ARE MULTIPLYING LIKE CRAZY! CANT SEEM TO CONTROL THEM AND THEY ARE TAKING OVER MY REEF. ANY TIPS ON HOW TO GET RID OF THEM WITHOUT HAVING TO REMOVE ANY OF MY LIVE ROCK. UNFORTUNATELY THE MAJORITY OF THE ZOOS ARE ATTACHED TO MY BASE ROCK SO IM TRYING TO AVOID TAKING APART THE WHOLE REEF AND STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN. ANY SUGGESTION?

Don't know what branching zoas are but I can tell you I have seen posts of reefers that have tried to frag them in the display and caused all kinds of problems with the rest of their coral. Seems they exude some type of chemical when they are cut that is detrimental to the rest of the tank. Sorry but I think you will have to take rock out of the tank to get rid of them.
