NEED HELP! CAN I FEED DAMSELS FLAKE JUST FOR NOW?

Just got my first damsels to cycle my tank and i didnt pick up any food!!! I just have live rock and live sand in tank, just for the night can i feed like african cichlid type flake? Will that cause any harm or bad inbalance in my cycle? If so what should i be feeding them? Need response asap!!!! Thank you.

They would be fine for a night not eating anything either. I only feed my tanks every other day to keep nitrates in check.
