I've had my tank running for about 8 months now. For 6 months the only fish in the tank was my tomato clown. Two months ago I added a lawnmower blenny to my tank. Both of these fish were never QT'ed. Everything was going great no diseases or nothing. The tomato clown is truly stunning, its not the average tomato youll see in your LFS(i wish i had a pic.)aboutt a month ago I went out and got a hospital tank since I planned on adding another fish later on. So a month ago I got a yellow tailed damsel, which was kept in the hospital tank for a month under copper treatment(he had a little ick when I got him.) After the month was up, he looked perfectly healthy so I put him in my main/nano tank. On day 4 of adding the damsel to the tank, it comes down with what looks like some sort of white junk on his lip. Day 5, now it looks like some sort of tail rot also(no other fish are showing signs of disease at this point.) Day 7, Clown appears to be showing the starting stages of this so called tail rot. So I put all of my fish into the Hospital tank for treatment(How will I keep my lawnmower alive in the QT?!?!?) All I have right now is copper, which I don't know if this will help my problem at all. With ick, I know that you can leave the main tank fishless for 30-40 days and the ick will die off due to no host. Is it the same for other diseases? Can I leave the main tank fishless and let the disease die off, or am I screwed? Plz help with this... Any input would be great!
