Need help identifing worm

I have 45 lbs of LR in my tank and whenever i turn the lights on in the morning i see a stringy, elastic, tentacle sticking out of the rock. It is striped, dark brown and beige i guess. The second i turn the lights on, it retracts back into the rock and i never see it w/ the lights on.
I see it consistently when i first turn on the lights, and i saw a 2nd one that was longer last night in another rock (2nd rock is not touching any other another rock, jsut sandbed). I tried to search but idk what it is. it appears that if it were a spaghetti worm, i would see more than 1 tentacle but there is only 1 per rock. They look too long and skinny to be peanut worms.
I'm not worried about them hurting my tank, but i would like to know what they are.
thanks

could i just do a FW dip?? if so how would i do it??
is it okay to FW dip a cured piece of LR that is going directly back to my main tank?? i'm curious as to what it is and this piece of rock just happens to not be attached to any other piece meaning i won't have to re-aquascape.

eunicid worm?

Not even close.
I dont' see the worm itself...just the tentacle/ arm/whatever. The arms stick out of the holes in the LR, i have no idea how the body looks, but either way, it's not that worm..thanks anyway

The pics you saw...were the worms outside the rock, laying exposed?
They look different when they are stretching out of a rock. Long and slender, they are. I'll look for a better pic than the "short & stubbies" you found.
Found one!

You don't see the fat part. You see the long narrow end that protrudes from the rock searching for food. They can reach a LONG way. I had one that easily stretched 8-10 inches.
I went ahead and stole their pic since I linked to the museum.

You're welcome.
I only recall one ever moving. I never saw it out of the rock, but one night it turned up in a different rock. They are beneficial and will scavenge your LR after dark.

Perhaps what you are seeing are the arms of a brittle star?
