Hello everyone. I have a 55 gallon tank that is about two months old. 400 emperor filter and 100 seaclone skimmer. I tested my levels on friday and all levels were good.
Fridays levels (Before phosphate remover)
PH-8.2
Ammonia-0
Nitrate-0
Nitrite-0
After arriving home today. I found out that my lionfish jumped out of the tank and suffocated. My yellow tang was dead and a damsel was dead. What a day?
Then I have two damsels and a raccoon fish that are alive still and two coral banded shrimp. All of these fish are okay now. I also have some corals in tank. All corals appear normal.
Todays Levels
PH-8.2
Ammonia-0.50
Nitrate-Approximately 20
Nitrite-Approximately.15
I did have a problem with diatoms and was told to use seachem phosphate remover for them. I used it Friday evening.
Would this throw off all of my levels. I never had any fish die until now. Any help is greatly appreciated
