Nitrate - 15
Sal - 1.025
20-25 lbs of LR
55 Gal
9 blue leg crabs
5 turbos
1 perc clown
1 lawnmower blenny
1 tiny 4 strip damsel
1 coral beaut angel (dead)
1 perc clown (dead)
1 bi color blenny (dead)
i have 2 hang on power filters and an air pump (i am getting a powerhead soon). both filters are rated for over a 55 gallon tank
tank has been cycled for about 2 months or so.
the clown died first. it looked like all of the fish that died had some sort of disease (ich?). they all had white flakes on them and some flesh looked missing. i was under the impression that this was not a disease that could spread to other tank mates. they all were eating ok. i know i am going to probably get some responses that the tank was a bit over stocked. or that i need a protein skimmer. my angel died today and i havent been able to get him out so my ammonia is probably getting higher by the moment. i added a capful of prime to keep it at bay for now. i am planning on doing a 20-30% water change. even though i just did a 15% water change this weekend.
any help would be appreciated

Angels really belong in a much more mature tank, check for amonia again and WHITE FLAKES does not sound like ich, POST THIS in the disease and treatment thread as well, THE MOD BETH is a real pro about that, Airstones are not reccomended, they can trap air in the fishes gills and you should inquire about getting some live rock as well...

could be something to do with the air bubbles. In a Saltwater tank micro bubbles are a bad thing. They can get lodged in the gills and irratate and stress the fish leaving them suceptable to ich and other infections.
with the flaky skin it could have been a bacterial infection or a few others.
I would post this in the disease and treatment forum aswell so that people that hang out in there will be able to help as well.
Did you QT any of the fish before they were added to the tank? Did you add a lot of them all at one time?
