Need help measuring for light strip?

i have a 45 gallon 5 sided corner tank, being odd shaped how do I measure the top for a light strip?

If a strip was the way you want to go I'd go across the widest diameter. You might also consider fixtures that are more pendant like and can either be hung from the ceiling or inside a hood.

Yes going with strip light. Been looking at Fluval Reef and Marine 2.0 and the Marineland reef led.

as forbis said I would measure the widest part...

but me personally I would get a kessil light which clamps onto the side of the tank...just easier and cleaner looking imo

Are you planning on coral? The marineland is crap for coral, I don't know about the fluval but I suspect it is similar.
