Need help on a power filter

Hello,
Would a Whisper filter 30/60 work on a saltwater setup? I know that I will need a protein skimmer. But, for starting out with fish only, would it work?

Yes I have used Whispers on salt tanks with no real problems. But, I would suggest the Marineland Emperor series either 280 single or 400 double based on tank size for the following reason. On the Emperor the major plus is you can change the filter with it running (the whisper you need to shut off). Depending where you buy (local store vs, web site) the price difference is very small and the Emperor gives you a attached bio-wheel (the whisper does not) which is not that big a deal but I like having one built in. Up to a 58 you can go 280 above to a 90 a single 400. With the whispers tho if you go that way stay away from the 5 series which is called a turbo it is a pain to have.
