To keep it simple, this is not enough lighting to keep any corals if it is going on a 75 gal. You will need at least 260 watts of PC to keep softies and most LPS, even more lighting for the harder corals.

Another mainer, where are you from?
but back on topic, a 75 is going to need way more than 36 watts, like puffer said a good start is around 260 watts of POwer compaq lighting. regular flourescent tubes just dotn cut it for corals. if you want hard corals you may look into metal halides. but PCs are good for almost all softies and LPS. No decorative clams. I reccomend against anemones too.

Actually some cool lookin anemones can live under moderate light, such as 260w PCs or maybe even less. My sabae is doing wonderful.

actually it doesnt really matter how long, anemones can live over 100+ years, if its only been 5 or less years you cant say its doing fine, because you dont know how the long term effect of the lighting is going to affect it. even 10years in the span of an anemone is considered short term success. do you see what I am saying.
alot of people consider having an anemone split in their tank a good thing, a sign its doing great. usually though its a method of survival when the chips are down. and the anemone is sensing doom it splits to double its chance of survival. one side may not find suitable habitat but the other may. Success with these creatures is almost always short term in com[parison to the lifespan of the creature. I'm not saying not to keep them, I am just advocating the use of methods that have the highest chance of success through others expiriences.
