Ok, I recently upgraded a 29gal set up to a 56gal tank with 25+ lbs of live rock, one blue legged hermit crab, and one yellow banded maroon clown fish. Everything was fine (water quality, color on the live rock, etc..), but when I put my live rock in my new tank (that contained water from my old tank), it all turned white. Everything else (clown fish and hermit) is fine. Is this just due to the transfer to a new tank?
Also, I was never told anything about having a current ciculating in my tank for the live rock by using a powerhead when I started my saltwater tank almost a year ago... I've been reading several places on the internet that there must be some current in order to keep the live rock healthy. All I was told that I would need is a powerfilter on the back of the tank (so I got an double one for 75gal). Is this going to be okay for my tank or do I need to change the set-up? If so, how would I go about changing the set-up since the tank is already set up with lots of live sand in the bottom?
I greatly appreciate anyone's help/advice. Thanks for taking the time to read this post!
