I see all of these great looking pictures, and i dont understand how you guys are able to get these shots full of color and brillance. When i take pictures they are terrible, the flash get reflected, and the lighting is all screwed up. I never get the great color that i see on all of these threads, am i doing something wrong. Open to tips as always, thanks

i`m still trying to learn how to take better pics as well...
i`m finding that set the cam on the marco setting with the flash on works best so far ...
the angle should eliminate the flash reflection, i would think ...
i have a thread with some pics of my tank ... "wednesday 6 pack"
they turned out ok, but nothing close to some of the other pics i`ve seen here...

I also am still learning how to take pictures and edit them properly.
What I have learned is that:
1.) You must turn off the flash.
2.) Set the camera lighting style to one that best fits your tank lights
3.) Turn off all outside lights around the tank to eliminate glare
4.) Upload the pictures onto your computer and edit them for color clearity and texture, then resize them to at most 500x500 so that they can fit on the forums page. Save them when you are finished.
5.) Go to "manage attachements" in the reply page and browse for your pictures on your computer's harddrive. Hit upload.

Try taking some without the flash. You should also try using a tripod if at all possible, it makes the picture come out with less blurr.
