Need Help w/Finger Leather

Hello I've had a pinkish finger leather for about 3 months it was extremely pink and during the day it pumped up and seemed to have little fuss on it. I was forced to move it from the location I had him to a higher spot closer to stronger flow because my fish kept knocking him down to the sand bed.
Ever since the move about a month ago he doesn't look happy anymore. He has brown stuff on it, and it doesnt pump up during the day like it use to. Why!!! I,m wondering if its too much flow for it? too much light?
My water parameters are right on : salinity 1.023, ammo- 0, nitite- 0, nitrate-usually around 10/20ppm (10% partial water change every week), calcium- 450ppm
Thanks, frog/lionman

move the leather back to where it was. Use some super glue gel to sucure it into place. Dont get the glue on the leather its self just on the rock. Leather can be very funny like this. The brown stuff is called the molting stage and will come off in a week or so. Also start dripping iodine to you leather this is very important.

THANKS ALOT!! I just moved it back to where it was and will start to drip iodine. Once again thanks, I didn't know about their need to use iodine.

how many leather do you have in your tank?
I have a 90gallon all soft corals tank and drip 100ml of iodine 2 or 3 times a week. I mix 100ml iodine with 1400mls of water and it take 24 hours at a very slow drip to empty the container. This way the corals have a chance to get as much of the iodine as they meed. Just adding iodine to your tank does you no good. The thing with iodine is once it goes through your carbon its done for.

Thanks, I have all soft corals; 3 toadstools, 1 fingerleather, multiple mushrooms, and 1 four headed frogspawn. I'll start dosing iodine like you suggested.
Thanks
