Hello. I’m trying to wire up my LOA flood light (Model #9266) for my fuge to an extension cord so I can just plug it into an outlet but I’m not sure which wire goes where. Is the black wire off the LOA light the hot lead? Also, on the extension cord, is the wire that leads to the wider socket the hot lead? I don’t want to damage the ballast by reversing the polarity. Thanks!
Heres a pic of it.

I just bought that light last week. I took an old power strip, cut the cord off. Then, just connect the white to white and the black to the black. The green is a ground, just screw that in to any extra srew on the light.
Usually red or white is the hot.
Hope it helps. Matt

I found out that the black wire is the hot lead and the white is neutral. Also, on the extension cord the wider blade is neutral and the narrow blade is hot.

Hi guys, I just bought this light as well but haven't wired it. What do you mean by light sensor? Thanks...

One version has a black plastic photo cover that goes into a hole to replace the clear one. It prevents light from hitting the sensor. Another version doesn't have this. I've had both, but if you saw it, you would know it.
