Need help with Coralife PC lighting

I broke one of the shoddy little mounting legs so I ordered the adjustable legs. I didn't know that I couldn't use them with my glass lids. Are the lids important enough to find alternate legs or should I just ditch the glass lids? If I keep the lids, any suggestions on an alternative to the small plastic legs? Thanks!

I broke mine to and what I used was 2" flat pvc caps. There are caps that are rounded and some are flat. They are normally used on larger sprinkler systems. You can move them under the protective lens and balance the lighting unit if you have glass covers on your tank. Mine is a 72 bow front and if your tank is smaller you could go to 1" caps. You can also buy replacement legs for a little bit of nothing. The original, not the adjustable ones.

ditch the glass tops, better gas exchange. just gotta watch out for evaporation, it will go up.

Lose the lids, rplace with "eggcrate" flourecent light diffuser to keep the critters in. Evaporation is good, it keeps the tank from geting too warm.
