Hi my tank is 45 days old.
trying to figure out when my tank is going to finish cycling. Is there any sing i have to be looking for??????
Now my tank started to get brown algae..is that safe????
How do i go with the sand.......when do i have to clean it????? and how????
i have done just one water change 20 percent of tank. petstore guy told me that one water change per month is good????

Your tank is probably already cycled, if you don't have an ammonia test, then take a sample of your water to your lfs and have them test it. If its 0 like your trites, then its cycled, do another 20% water change to help with your trates, but they don't have to be 0, alot of new tanks have some trates. Your algae bloom is normal also, are you using RO water, if not, do your next change with it, or distilled if you can't get RO water in your area.
How big is your tank? May need another power head or 2. Do not clean your sand at all, get a cleanup crew to do that for you, and good luck
