The item in the photo looks like miniature kelp. Got it as a hitchhiker on some FL aquacultured rock about 3 months back. It doesn't seem to spread, just continues a healthy growth from one clump. It is actually kind of cool waving in the current. It actually looks like kelp and is the same color with small yellow berries on the limbs. It grows about 1/2 inch a day so I trim it fairly frequently. The guy at the LFS doesn't have a clue either but would like to have my next trimmed section to see if he can get it to root in his reef tank. Am attaching a photo. Sure hope it is not something I need to get rid of but if it is better now than later. Thanks for your help
