Ok guys, here is the story, I am getting ready to set up my tjird tank, yes i said three the whole thing is this. My first tank was a 55, it has crushed coral in it FOWLR my second tank is a 10 gallon nano, with LS 20 pounds worth, which looks and filters great, and is looking fantastic, well at least in my eyes, lol.
So now I am buying 100 gallon tank. I would love to do sand in it, but since I am on diablility with MS, there is simply no way I can afford 200 pounds of LS for it. I have searched all the HD stores in and around Sacramento for SD and there is none to be found. Can someone tell me what sand I can use for the majority of it, and them would it be ok to only buy one 20 pound bag of sand to seed it with?:notsure:
I would greatly appreciate any input as soon as possible since I want to start this tank this weekend. Thanks to all and Happy Holidays :santa:

You may need to check with other cali posters but I believe at one time they were finding it arount he Los Angeles area. Also try Yardright and Old Caslte playsand made by the same manufacurer.
Seeding 180 pounds dry sand with 20 pounds of live sand would be fine. IMO
