I have a 75 gallon fish only setup with 85lbs of live rock and crushed coral substrate. I am moving and this will be my first saltwater move and I wanted to know if anybody could help me with the proper steps to move this tank? I have 2 Dogface Puffers(4 inches long),1 Voiltan Lionfish(4 inches long),and 1 Tomato Clownfish(3 inches long)also 2 chocolate-chip starfish, 1 Serpent Starfish, 1 burrowing Starfish, 40 different crabs, 12-19 different snails, and 2 sea cucumbers.
I plan on taking out the crushed coral because I want Live Sand and I bought 80 lbs of Live Sand to replace the crushed coral. I also have 2 Aqua-clear 500 filters, 1 Fluval 404, 1 Rio 600 powerhead and 1 Rio 2100 powerhead for current. If anyone could please help me with the proper steps it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

The best way to move a tank is if you could park a truck outside the closest window, and pump the water directly into large containers in the vehical. Then place the rock in one,the fish in another....Then you have to deal with the CC and inverts. If possible, put these in a third container. Then load the tank(after a good rinsing out)...Once you get to the new location, setup the tank and put in the water, then the rock and sand(now would be a good time to gently clean the rock,Do this by swishing it around in the CC container)then add the fish. The live sand should not cloud the water, and if it does, the fish can and will survive...Lastly,Get your filters up and running....Now you have to deal with the CC...There will probably be alot of little critters in there, this is why you should put it in it's own container.Take your time sifting through this mess and just toss any goodies right into the tank.Unless you have nothingelse planned for the CC,you can toss it out as you sift through it..It may be a good idea(just to be safe) to put a few handfulls of the CC into some micro filter bags,or pantyhose feet and lay them in the tank. This is just as a precaution against a recycle..After a week or so start removing the bags of CC...Good luck, and keep us posted as to how it is going...

It would also be a good idea to have 5or10gallons of premixed water ready. You will probably need this to topoff the tank. And also,Get a power head running in the fish container as soon as possible when you get to the new location...
