Ok I want to do my own lighting from scratch?
Where do I begin t5 or hallogen or what?
I have55 gallon 48x20x13 I would like to beable to put
anything in the tank except probly not hard coral
iam upgrading from a 30 gallon with live rock, mushroms only
currently and the little guys of course swimming around
I have a husband that can build almost any thing I will post the
pictures when he starts building the cabinet. We have the
materials to start hopefully today but not the hood yet
until we decide on the lighting. Please help all and any input.

Also I plan on getting new sand for the 55 and then transfer
rock & water over. Does it need to recycle? Going from a
30 to a 55 gallon. The 30 has been up and runnig for 10 months and
all has been great.

As in fixtures the husband and myself are handy
so much info out there. Iam thinking
two 150 watts & 10. Or 14 k trying to figure
the best way to go at doing ourselves
because of money and satifaction of building
it ourselves
