Need ID help please!

What are the tiny white things on the sides of my tank? There are hundreds of them, they are only about .5 mm and it looks like they have several tiny "legs" coming off of them, I also noticed many tiny bug looking creatures on the glass also, these are so small you can just barely see them but they are moving around. The white things don't move, but no sooner than I cleaned them off they were back after a few minutes.

The things on glass, if they are spiral they are little worms, not sure what the name is, but they are common and harmless in new tanks. They will go away, once your tank is stable. All the white stuff flowing in your water could be dust, air, sand, its probably not any bugs, unless you have some crazy, insane outbreak of ich.

the ones on your glass is copods, very good to have.they will disapper over time and then come back

it could be starfishes.. I had them in my tank and one of them is actually the size of a quarter..

could be any type of Pod. or hydroid. most pods are good, but some are bade. cirolanoid isopods are really bad. check my SWF.com blog for info. it is most likely copods if there are hundreds. isopds tend to be in few numbers and come out a night when they will literally eat you fish alive or burrow under your skin if you stick in your hand.
