Need ideas for vent on top of canopy.

Should I just drill holes, or is there some sort of vent I can place in the hood to exhaust heat out the top? Any ideas?

Install a fan or two - blowing out - best way to rid the enclosure of hot air

cut your hole and then mount a little 4 inch utility fan from radio shack to the inside of your canopy! should take care of just about any heat issues!

Actually, I'll have 2 four inch IceCap fans on the ends of the canopy, so I just need a vent.

Go to HD and go to the vent section, they have grilles that are used for bathroom vents. Then you could cut out the canopy top and install this for a clean look
