I just got my carpet yesterday. I ordered the atlantic carpet from sfw. It was in great condition. Started moving as soon as i turned the lights on.
I have a 55g thats been running close to 3 years. For lighting i have 220w pc lighting. Plus the tank is in a very sunny room with lots of windows. Tank is not in direct sunlight ofcourse.
This is my first anemone. I know they can eat fish and shrimp. I see my cleaner shrimp almost got eaten last night. Has burn marks on his back and his legs are discolored. The dumb shrimp was still going near the carpet.
Also one of my g chromis is hiding now. I think it senses something evil is in the tank. He comes out to eat though.
I fed the carpet today. Its about six inches wide. It has expanded alot more and the tenticles look longer from yesterday.
I fed it a piece of krill that was about an inch long. Is that a good size to feed it? I don't want to stuff it . I have some zoe i will put on it next time.
What else can i feed it? How often? How big of a piece? How big do they get?
And does it have a foot? It hasn't really planted itself in the sand yet. I adjusted my PH because it became a flying carpet for a while.
I will try to feed it alot so it won't eat my inhabitants. But i know accidents happen.
My percs are looking at the anemone. I hope they host.
