LionFish says........
Here's the lowdown on this fish. They grow to be about 7 inches. They need a varied diet to live such as: squid, krill, shrimp, and silversides. They prefer small meaty foods. They, like all lions are poisionous. The minimum tank size is a 50 gallon tank. They eat inverts, so your crabs won't last long. They are messy feeders and therfore need a powerful filtration system. They will eat small fish. Avois feeding them live feeders as they will be malnutritioned and die. It is alright to give them a couple guppies every so often but do not feed them as a primary food source. Make sure to ask your fish store worker to see the lion feed. Only buy the lion if it feeds on dead foods such as silversides. If it won't eat, don't buy it. Very cool fish. I have one in my 75 gallon tank and he is doing very well. They are extremely hardy but can die from starvation if they will not feed. If you need anymore info, just ask. Also, welcome to the board.
