I'm new to the hobby and would like to start with saltwater fish. What do I need to get started? Tank,sand,chemicals,etc.?? Thanks anyone.

The Conscientious Marine aquarist by Robert Fenner.
The Complete Book of the Marine Aquarium by Vincent Hargraves.

Live Rock, Live Sand, Salt Water from the LFS, Heater, thermometer, testing kits, proper lights, & a lot of $$$$ (LOL)....
If you need a tank a good starter tank is probably the biocube.
You have to wait for your tank to be cycled before you put fish/corals in it.

Socal57 said it right above. The only dumb question is the question that is never asked. all of us have been newbies at one time. This is a great place to learn.
