Use a pair of scissors and make a quick single cut a little ways up from the base of the branch. Rubber band the frag to a piece of rock and keep it in low flow until it attaches (usually takes about a week).

I wouldn't do this one inside the tank though. Put in a bowl and do surgery outside of tank. When I cut mine, brownish liquid went everywhere. Would have been very nasty if it had been in the tank.

Yes, but use the gel type. The regular stuff will just run all over.
Yeah, I should have mentioned removing the leather first. Leathers do have some icky chemicals in them, but I don't think much harm would come to the tank. I fragged most of mine in the water. When in doubt just run some carbon.

I can attest to leathers being IMPOSSIBLE to glue. I got 3 leather frags a month ago, and 2/3 are still floating around my tank. Funny, one floater is actually growing quite well.
the easiest way to attach leathers is find a crack/hole in your live rock and stuff the base of the leather in.
