Need Lighting Advise

I just bought 2 10k 40 bulbs for my 55g tank. I only want to stock it with lr/ls, Macro Algae, and maybe some shrooms. I need one other light to go with the 2 10ks. What bulb would look best with these two??? Oh yea i'm probably going to put a Mangrove tree in the tank and suspend the lights about a foot or so above the tank.

personally i would put a MH right between them both then maybe change one of your 40's to an actinic and keep the other 10k.

I'm not setting it up as a reef tank though. I bought the HD lights because I don't want to go reef. If i have enough light from the lights i listed to put some shrooms in than fine I might try. I don't even have a MH on my other 55 reef and it is doing fine. It is run with VHO. I'm just curious what amount of blue to add with these two bulbs. These 10ks are nice and white but i don't know what they look like over water yet since the tank is empty.

you have flow, now, i assume, so what i would do is, something like was mentioned, personally, i would
get one actinic to replace one of the 10000k lights you have, and add pc's, much cheaper tha mh's, i have pc's and love them, the only thing, is that i don't like pc's for actinic, so i am probably gonna get vho's for my actinic
the pc's will give you the little extra light you need for the corals you want, and the actinic will give you the blues(you can keep your bulb you have now, for a spare too), and the pc's at 1000k or beter, will also GREATLY enhance the color of your fishes too

I was looking more at fish only though with Macro algae. maybe some shrooms. I am going to stick with the 3 40w flos on this tank. I'm going to set up my 75 as a reef tank with the mh and everything once i figure out where i'll be living in the next 4 or 5 months. Just want this to be a fowlr + macro to keep the micros away. Maybe go with some fish you wouldn't want to put in the reef. Just want to know which light will be better for blue lighting????? anyone
