I hit my 7th week of cycling on a 72G Reef Ready Fish Only set up. I have plenty of Live and and dry Coral. Currently have 5 1" Damels and a Huma Huma about 3" that was a gift that I didn't want. I just did a water change about 15G and I did a water set about 12 hours later I Nitrite if off the chart and my My Nitrate id pretty max out at 5.0. I just ordred some live stock friends and don't know what to do about my levels. I have a small Dwarf Fuzzy and Medium Percula CLown on the day within the day or so. How much trouble am I in . How do I regulate the Nitrogens.

You can say that again about the damsels. We havn't had problems with ALL our damsels but our blue devil was pretty friendly until we put our royal gramma in then big blue beat him up pretty bad. Freddy our 3 stripe was getting pretty agressive with our baby 1/2 hippo tang.

You are in a lot of trouble I'm afraid.
You should not have fish in a cycling tank, let alone be adding more!
Also by doing water changes you are prolonging the cycle.

good news is nitrites and nitrates are the end of the cycle. However your nitrites are gonna come down, and that will skyrocket your nitrates. Nitrates fish can deal with if not in them for a prolonged amount of time. Good luck guy. BTW damsels are very abusive fish and are way to hardy to keep around clowns (IMO).

Do you know what your levels were before you did the water change?
At this point you might want to set up a small QT to put your new additions in (look in the disease and treatment forum for instructions). It is always a good idea anyway and this way your tank can settle out before you put the new fish in.
