need new camera need advise

ok people i would like to upgrade my camera so i can get more detail in my pics i would like to stay with digital so can some one help me pic out a new one here is a link from circuitcity , i do most of my shopin there so why not get one from them

i know obviously the most expensive is prolly the best but 1400 i dont think im paying that much

i recommend anything canon... and before i get flamed, i used to be a photographer and i do still shoot with canon (1v-hs primary/eos3 backup for 35mm and 1d for digital).

nicky, the cameras i use are SLR's (single lens reflex) with interchangeable lens....i don't think that's what you're looking for or in the price range you're looking for. my friend owns an s400, its a really good overall camera. you might wanna check it out...as well as www.dpreview.com
