I have a 29 gallon tank with four fish, but I'd like to add one more, a four stripe damsel. Currently have a tomato clown, a false perc clown, a bicolor psuedochromis, and a green reef chromis, all living happily, plus 25 pounds of live rock. I also want to add some soft corals to the tank, but nothing real demanding. Just wondering if five fish would be pushing it, considering my ultimate ambitions for the tank. Tank includes an AquaC Remora skimmer and an Aquaclear power filter.

A small goby might be ok..like a clown goby, flamehead, etc. I would not add a damsel to the mix you have, in such a small tank. Asking for problems IMO.

I wouldn't add more fish, rbaldino. Though they may be small now, your fish will grow...the tomato clown can grow to 4 or 5 inches, itself.
Maybe move forward with your corals?

Actually, I already had a four stripe with pretty much this combination of fish and it was fine. I lost him during a prolonged power outage.

Well, the tomato clown is about 10 years old, so I'm guessing he's done growing, and is at about 3 inches. And the chromis is already at about 3 inches, too.

Well on top of that your pushing it with that many fish in a 29g as it is.

I had a goby and the psuedochromis really, really didn't like it.

Okay. I'm more concerned about that than what sort of fish to add.
