going to get better lighting for my 125g. I have a BTA and I need better lighting. I have 2 hoods with 2 flouresent bulbs in each hood... they are only 25 watts a piece.... thats only 100 watts. How much lighting do I need in there for my BTA wattish wise? I will wait to leave until I hear back on the watts. How many watts should each bulb be?? Oh can I still use flouresent but just more watts?

you need something like PC lighting or MH lighting.
If you get MH you could go with 750W. I think that would be good to keep anything and now be over kill. People told me i would be able to 500W over a 90G.
If you get PC i would go with a little less wattage. You cant use fluescent lighting, you need a certain type of lights which is PC, MH, and then theres a couple more

Strong lighting is needed for a BTA.
8-10 watts per gal. Way too many choices out there. You may want to use a combo, MH/T-5 or PC/MH set up or just simply 2 MH.
Definitely up the lights!
