Need some help ASAP

I wanna do some plumbing upgrades. I'm about to go to Home Depot to get dome PVC but I'm wondering what I can use to seal and glue the connections. Is the standard cleaner and glue ok? Will this harm anything in the tank? Should I go with threaded connections and teflon tape? Please help. It's my day off and I wanna get this done today.

Get the primer and the PVC cement. That's what ya need.

I just plumbed up my new tank over the weekend and used regular PVC glue that I do on my regular plumbing jobs. Never read anything about it being a danger to the tank.
