Need some help identifying a fish...

So I took some pictures of the 125g tank that I recently put a deposit on. The current owner never told me the name of this fish, he just told me it looks like a bulldog. Can you help me identify it? Oh and pay no attention to the snowflake eel who wanted in the picture. Thanks!

BTW......why couldn't I get any links to embed a picture into my post?

Well it's very ugly.
Buy the tank and not the critters...send them to a pet store or something. Choosing the right fish to go with what you want is the whole joy of the hobby. Being strapped with somebody elses choices is unfair.

lol.......I'm afraid you're right....it's definitely not a pretty fish.
I agree with you on choosing your own fish.......but luckily all his fish were on my stocking list except for the one we're trying to identify, the snowflake eel, and two zebrafish. I've already arranged for the eel to be traded in and the rest I can live with as long as I can identify them. Once I can be assured that this little guy isn't going to cause any problems I'll probably keep him.

Thank you! I was thinking it had a blenny shape to it.
So while I've got your attention........is the algae pictured a good algae? Do people normally clean it or leave it? I've been doing my research on equipment, setup, and livestock...........I figure algae is one of those things that you learn as you go.
