Need some help with my skimmer pump

I am running an asm g-2 on my 150 gal. The other day I cleaned the cup but didnt take the pump out to clean. Today I checked it and the pump quite working. I took it out thinking the impeller was dirty and stuck. I took it out - cleaned it and the pump.
I put it back together and it still isnt working. I looked at the inpeller, and there are groves in the magnet. I felt in the whole and there are groves in there too. I think sand or rock rubble must have gotten sucked in while I was messing with the skimmer.
Do you think replaceing just the inpeller will work, or is the pump shot too.
Wasnt really looking in replacing it right now ugggggggg

Id try running it in a bucket of water and see if it does anything at all. Even with some grooves as long as there is no blockage in it now it should still spin the impeller. If it doesn't then id probably consider it shot.

Yeah agree should run grooved up, not as efficient but should turn. Do you get any hum or feel anything if you hold it when u plug it in???? Have you tried plugging it in without the impeller and sliding the impeller into place a it's plugged in???
