Need some specs from these two skimmers

ASM G-Mini
Octopus 110 needle wheel
I'm leaning towards the Octopus but I'm getting conflicting information on the footprint specs. I've heard 7x9 and 6x8. Anyone have one to confirm?
My next choice would be the ASM but I haven't really heard much about the performance. Can anyone help out?

the lastest mini (well been out for years now) has a smaller footprint because the pump is under the skimmer.

the pump has a terrible track record for freezing up and overheating. dont even bother. if your going to go with ASM start with the 1G.

Thanks Stan. I just got back from my lfs and that's what he said too. They had like 4 in the back that were returned.
So I went with the Octopus. I just set it up and letting it break in. How will I know it's broken in?
