Need suggestion on what to add

I need some suggestions about what I can add to my 35 gallon hex tank.
I currently have a tomato clown, 1 hermit crab and 5 little snails.
I read the forums and all I hear are same names - angelfish, blenny, gobi, wrasse.
Obviously besides those that don't belong in mine like lionfish or tangs.
Is there anything else.
I am asking so I can start doing research.
I do NOT have corals or anemones and do not look for anything sophisticated.......
Thanks

How old is your tank? any pics.
Not too may fish for a small tank, maybe,
your clown, a royal gramma, bi-color blenny, and yellow watchman.

purple firefish or neon goby or chalk basslet or purple dottyback or cardinals. I would go to a couple of sites and see what options they have for nano tanks to get some ideas. There are a few options you can do, but it depends on what direction you want the stock list to take.

Is 35 gallon considered a nano tank?
I want something colorful and alive. My beautiful tomato clown is doing fine but is stuck to my thermometer (with whom he made best friends). Guys on these forums told me it's ok.
So, I'd like something that you can actually see and now wonder if it dropped dead or float.
I will look at all these names you suggested.
I like to read on website about how to take care and go to the store to see.
My tank is new, although I used sand, water and extra biofilter from previous tank.
This clown is the first fish I added 5 days ago (a friend just gave me his), so I will wait for a month to add anything else and on and on and on.

If your clown is sexually mature, its almost certainly a female. Large female clowns are one of the most territorial fish we keep. You may have trouble adding any fish. If so, put the clown in your QT when you add the new fish, reintroduce her a week later. Hex tanks are tough to stock, they have a small footprint to volume ratio and most fish need their share of the bottom & rockwork.. Depending on its size, you may be able to get a mate for your clown, they form bonded pairs. But adding a new, smaller clown will be risky. Your fish will accept it or kill it.
