I am thinking of building a sump / refugium ( in order to maintain a good population of copapods for my mandrain and blenny ) current set up is a wet/dry with skimmer and return in sump this is a reef ready tank by the way
was going to have incoming water go into a chamber which would have the skimmer then flow over into another chamber with bio balls then into a chamber which would have live sand a rock ( could put a small light over this area if it is necessary ) and then into the last chamber with the return pump. ( i assume i should take the sponge filter off of the return pump ) questions are is this the correct way to do this meaning the skimmer should come first ? also will the copapods just find there way thru the return pump and into the main tank ( i relize this might be stupid for asking just trying to make this sump right the first time thanks for any and all input

72 gal reef ready tank
75lbs live rock
100 lbs live sand
4 x 96 PC lights

as long as you have a good amount of live rock in a well established tank, you will have more then enough pods for your fish. the whole concept for the refugium is to filter the water.
