I think this is what I have. It looks like a tree but shrinks and expands all of the time. He always blows up when my Halides go out. He is pink with a somewhat transparent body with little red flower looking things on him. Anyway, hes not really attacked to anything and im looking to raise the flow which would eventually cause him to blow around all over the place. I want to avoid that but I need to affix him to something. Should I try to wedge him between two rocks or glue his base down? I don't want to hurt this guy he is very handsome. Thanks.

If he inflates when the lights go OUT - it could very well be. Sceronephthya prefers very dim lighting, and bright light can actually hurt them, they are a non-photo type soft coral, and very difficult to keep longterm. I've never been able to keep one around for very long. They usually require special feeding of microplankton and enriched freshly hatched brine.
As far as attaching it - either wedge it between 2 rocks or find a crevice or hole and insert the base into it then wedge some rubble or epoxy petty to keep it in place.
