i just got a trigger for free, and i have a 20gal which i am using for a quarantine...it's only been cycling for about 3days so the only thing showing up right now is the salinity level and ph...which are both fine as well as the tank temperature. he is about 1.5-2" long, i have no other place to put him in....should i risk it??? the damsels in the quarantine seems to be doing fine. this will just be temporary for a couple of weeks...i might find him a 40gal corner tank to grow out in.

Personally, I'd move him out of the uncycled tank...if he isn't ill now, he WILL be as the tank cycles.
On the other heand, many triggers are fairly aggressive, particularly to slow movers like lions and porcupines, so it's risky either way.
It sounds like you've got a moderate case of the "new hobbyist" bug, and I'd invest in some good books before going much further.....an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
