Need your opinion on blue leg hermits

In your opinion are the blue leg hermits really that bad? I have heard that they like to kill other inverts for their shell. What do you think?

I hate hermit crabs pain in the butt imo. but yeah if they need a bigger home they will take the shell at any cost

Mine kill my smaller snails and eat them, then they just leave the shell. Even though I have a good supply of shells for them to "move" into, they still kill my snails. From now on I am not buying anymore hermits, I am sticking with snails.
