I just put a clown and anenome in my sons tank two days ago. He didnt want the anenome, but I convinced him that "nemo" would love it. Now two days later the clown has not gone anywhere near the anenome. The anenome is white in color and has little purple dots at its tips if this helps identify or anything.

What size tank, what's the filtration, what kind of lighting, what are the water parameters?
Clowns wont host every time. Just because there's an anenome in the tank and you add a clown doesnt mean it'll take to it.

Sounds like a sebae anemone, they WILL need metal halides for the best chance of survival, otherwise if this is in a small tank with normal lights then you may have some very tough problems ahead.
Also there is a top post sticky that will help you with compatibility of anemones to what type of clown fish. You may have chosen an anemone that will not accept but only a certain few clowns.
Please post again with further information about the system and what kind of clown and anemone.
