I saw a pair of gorgeous fish in a LFS today. I asked the owner what they were and he said neon damsels. But I did a search on the web and the pictures and descriptions I've seen don't seem to match what I saw.
2" long, deep velvet blue with three short thin lateral aquamarine stripes (not all in one column), typical damsel body type -- like a domino
Are these called neon damsels? Whether they are or not, I assume they are typical damsels in that they are aggressive. If so, they don't fit in with my tank plans. If not, they go straight to the top of the wish list.

Yeah they are pretty fiesty little devils. They go by both names Neon/Velvet Damsels. As they get older they loose all of their color. Those bright blue neon stripes go away then they are just black with a large with stripe thru the center of their body. Hope this helps. :)
