Will two tank-raised neon dottybacks get along in a 29 gal. reef? All I have is 2 percs and a carpet anenome. I would like to have 2, but 1 will suffice if they will not get along....

hmm, i tink i would only go with one in a 29. 2 will probably fight. id go with 1, they will also control bristle worms in the tank. bo

Let me start by saying that I hate neon dottybacks!!! However, if you still want one you can only get one as they will attack similiar colored fish(and just about anything smaller than themselves). Removing mine from a 75 reef was a nightmare that lasted many months and cost me a few fish(story posted a few weeks ago in fish forum).

...and as far a bristle worms, mine didn't touch them as my reef has many, many bristle worms.

Do they eat flake food? My LFS feeds theirs live brine. Told me that they are kinda aggressive but they won't eat my fish.

Ok, good advice so far, I don't know if the dottyback would attack my percs. Anyone have a clue? Thanks for the info everyone.

i had one in my 29 gallon with a maroon clowna and a cleaner shrimp. It was a fun fish to watch because of the way it would dart in and out of the rock. Then again it managed to dart out my tank altogether, so be careful. I liked the fish but i don't think that i would buy another one, no reason, just like some other fish more...(six line wrasse).
