i have 2 and never had ick but from what i hear they can get it just like any fish

The tank raised ones don't tend to, but the wild caught ones do.

I had 2 they seemed to be ich magnets even when my other fish didn't have any signs of it. but mine were wild caught. the tank raised ones are much less likely to get it but they still can.

I actually had a tank bred one that was a major ich magnet, and I now have a wild caught one that has never had ich even though another fish in the tank w/it had ich. Go figure.
